What does Masseh Nissim Do?
Masseh Nissim is a registered non-profit organization in Israel (License number 580372811). It was founded in 1980 by Efraim Cohen. We visit the injured soldiers all over Israel. We bring them gifts, talk to them, and make them smile. Their stories are all very inspirational, and these boys are true Heroes. We also deliver supplies to our soldiers on the front lines. Remember even things like clean socks and underwear are luxuries for these brave soldiers.
Masseh Nissim is a small charitable organization in Israel. All of our members and staff are volunteers. Every penny of donations will reach our soldiers.
Who founded Masseh Nissim?
Efraim Cohen was an injured soldier from the Yom Kippur War in 1973. An anti-tank missle penetrated his tank and tore off part of his right arm. He watched the missle cross his chest and explode on the opposite side of the tank. He remembers recovering in the hospitals after his accident. Visitors came to see him and made such an impact that he organizes groups of teens to adults to visit and bring gifts to soldiers today.
Efraim shares his miraculous recovery to the soldiers currently suffering from injuries. Doctors told Efraim he would never have use of his right arm again, but today it is fully recovered and stronger than his left. He talks to soldiers to inspire them and help them heal in their time of suffering.
